Its A Boy!!!!!!!

Ian and I did a gender reveal cake and were shocked to see it was blue! After the shock set in we were both thrilled. Now the real planning begins. As well as the intimidation of having a son. lol. Im sure it will all be amazing!! And I cannot wait to meet my little man. 

Anatomy Scan

I had my anatomy scan on April 2nd and it was by far the coolest experience EVER! It was the first appointment where I was able to really see everything. Well, almost everything. I did not want to know the gender at the appointment so I did not get to see those parts. lol. But it was so surreal to see baby in that way. The tech said baby is very very long and has SUPER long legs. This was no surprise to me. I mean hello it is my baby :-)

Unfortunatly the baby would not turn around for the tech to see the heart all the way. So I have to go back in a few weeks to do another full anatomy scan. Not gonna lie Im ok with this because it means I get to experience that sonogram all over again :-)

Well, it's been a while since my last post. Not much really to report so far. Being pregnant is insane! Yes, it's amazing and I wouldn't change it for anything because I know in the end I will have the one thing I have always known I deserve. And as much as I cannot wait to be a mother I am seriously over the being sick all of the time.
I had a very rough first trimester. Not only did I have "morning" sickness(which is a total lie by the way, I had it all day everyday!) but for a week in my first trimester I had a horrible awful stomach bug that literally had me stuck in bed for four days. YUCK!
On the upsid, in all the sickness and craziness that the first trimester brought, I did have my first doctors visit and it was pretty cool. Except we were not able to hear the heartbeat and the printers were broken so we have no printed sonograms. We did get to see baby for a short minute and it was incredible!!! I was also very lucky because Ian was able to come with me to that one. He will miss a lot of the rest of them if not all. But he is very supportive andI know will wait patiently to hear all the details.

I cant wait until my next appointment and I can only dream about that heartbeat for now! But the wait will be worth it Im sure :-)

I'm PREGNANT!!!!!

So......  Here's how it all started.
It was Christmas Eve and I had been asked by my bosses to help them around their house while they were on vacation. I of course told them I would be happy to help. They asked me to do some laundry while they were gone, so since Ian was working on Christmas Eve I decided I would go over there and do some laundry. I spent HOURS there that day and was just feeling very run down all day. I was extremely sleepy (which was weird because I had slept in that day). I was folding the laundry and saw a pregnancy test box sitting in the guest room and I just thought "maybe I should take one just for fun"
On my way home from work I couldn't resist I stopped at Rite-Aid and bought a 3 pack of tests. I'm not sure why I felt the need to take one because I honestly didnt think I could be pregnant. I got home around 5:00 and went straight to the bathroom....... I FORGOT THE TEST IN THE LIVING ROOM!! Silly Erin, you kind of need to pee on that. Oh well, I had to be at my moms soon anyway so I just started getting ready. Around 6:30 I was about to walk out the door to go to my moms and I saw the tests on the table.... Hmmm wonder if I have to pee yet?? I decided to try.... I went potty and it was instantly positive!!! I was shocked, I just started crying like crazy(which upset me because I spent a long time doing my make-up).
I called my best friend Megan and she didn't answer..... I CALLED 20 TIMES.... I was shaking and crying(and running late to my moms by this point) I finally just decided to call another friend. Kristi picked up her phone with a normal "Hello" and I just screamed "I'M PREGNANT"
We both just sat on the phone for a few minutes and I finally stopped crying and decided to go to my moms. Kristi bet me that I couldn't keep it from my mom, she should have put money on it because she won.
I wanted to tell Ian before telling anyone else but I got to my moms and just knew I wasnt going to last long. We hung out with my uncle playing games and such for about 2 hours. Then I just showed her a picture of the test... She was excited and shocked. Ian showed up a few minutes late so none of us talked about the pregnancy because he didn't know yet.
Ian and I went to a Christmas Eve party that night and it was killing me on the car ride there to have a secret like this. We got to the party and were walking up to the door and I just kind of blurted it out. Needless to say he was pretty shocked. But he played it cool, he went inside and told everyone.... guess he figured if he was shocked everyone deserved to be shocked.
So over the next few days I made all the phone calls to family and close friends and the news spread like wild fire.



Now, here we are today 1/6/13 and I am in my 8th week and due August 23rd 2013 :)
